2010-4-26 左右网上突然泄露出一首官方没有发布的歌曲，经网友鉴定后，认定这首柔美旋律的歌曲是爱尔兰最流行的组合天王Westlife的主唱Shane为自己的妻子儿女所唱。是一首非常感人的歌曲。需要注意！这首歌曲不属于shayne ward，可能是因为Shane 和Shayne Ward的名字比较相近，或者声音比较相似（这点我非常不认同），最可能是因为Shayne Ward这里马上要出一张新专辑的缘故，在网上很多地方都注明这首歌为Shayne Ward所唱，希望能够及时改正！

此曲由美国民谣歌手Hedy West创作，并于1961年率先发行在民歌三重唱The Journeymen(旅行者)的同名专辑中，后有日本摇滚歌神忌野清志郎改编日文版的500 miles，被松隆子和忌野清志郎本人唱过。值得注意的是，应区别于Bobby Bare的《500 miles away from home》。

Peter,Paul & Mary（彼得、保罗和玛丽）这支美国最杰出的民谣三重唱组合，他们早在上世纪60年代就已经享誉世界了。三位成员分别是Peter Yarrow（男歌手兼吉他手）、 Paul Stookey（男歌手兼吉他手）和Mary Travers（女歌手）。他们唱自己的歌，也唱Bob Dylan、Joan Baez、Pete Seeger（The Weavers即著名的“纺织工”四人合唱团的主将）等民谣大师的作品。他们组建于加州，纯净的歌声和典雅的和声，使民谣的魅力为更广泛的听众意识和接受。他们经常翻唱著名民谣歌手的作品，使得那些歌曲让更多的人们所熟悉，如Bob Dylan、Simon & Garfunkel、John Denver等等。起初一直走着翻唱路线的他们，其实也有着相当强大的作曲实力。自1962年出版发行了第一张同名专集以后，几乎每年都有新专集发表。直到1971年解散。

相信大家最关注的是，他们为何在事业高峰期拆伙，8年后又重组。Paul表示，自推出首张唱片后，立刻名列美国流行榜首位，接着的10年中，三人一直为事业忙碌，所以在70年代决定放一个“学习假期”，利用空闲时间充实自己，加上Paul当时要照顾生了一对双胞胎的太太和打理牧场。后来在一次聚会中，三人发觉对音乐仍然充满热爱，故决定重组继续展开音乐之旅，这三位好拍档仍在努力中, 不幸的是mary于2009年9月16日患白血病离世。

乐团的中心成员是Karen Peris与Don Peris。他们是一对相识于天主教高中唱诗班的夫妻档。主唱的女声，由于是出自唱诗班，声音的清澈不亚于森林中的一眼清泉。

他们演唱的500 miles 被收录在专辑《Christ Is My Hope》中。
